Prayer Fasting Guide

Prayer Fasting Guide? The one I promised to complete long ago? Well, I apologize to those waiting. It’s coming, eventually. I’m in the midst of a major rewrite of Food in God’s Place. I also plan to price FIGP at $5.99 instead of $9.99. As I just have not had time for the updates with my work schedule, I’ve set the price for FIGP at $2.99 until the new version is released. If you go ahead and read the current version, e-mail me through the website, and I’ll send you a coupon when the new version is complete.

Next 100 copies of Food in God’s Place .99 till 12/17/16 at Smashwords. Enter coupon NW86P at checkout.

The prayer fasting guide will be finished when I complete the rewrite of FIGP. If you read Richard J. Foster’s, Celebration of Discipline, Oswald Chamber’s, My Utmost for His Highest along, the Bible following the reading plan of the Book of Common Prayer lectionary, you’ll find most of what I can teach you on prayer. Basically, the more you pray, the more natural it becomes. The Holy Spirit teaches us as we pray. Just pray.

The fasting portion or content on fasting is in part 2 of the Prayer Fasting Guide available on the website.

I included much of the central content on prayer for the Prayer Fasting Guide in existing posts. The recent post Prayer Sacrifice lists most of these posts.

As I don’t have as much time to write as I would like, I will not complete part 1 on prayer as an online document for the Prayer Fasting Guide. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to structure and organize two separate documents, so the Prayer and Fasting Guide as a complete document will only be available as an e-book. When I complete the e-book, Prayer Fasting Guide, I will price it at $1.99. If you would like to be notified when it is complete, send an e-mail though the contact form.

“We must approach God with a sense of desperation knowing only he can give us what we desperately need. Our immediate presence touches his presence and our eternal existence on this razor sharp, narrow point of desperation and dependency. Here we must return and strive to remain in prayer. God answers prayer here, first in our belief, next in our understanding, and finally in the answer needed and fits perfectly within God’s divine will and purpose for our existence.” From: Prayer Fasting Guide.

Also because I’m in the midst of major projects at work as well as the rewriting of Food in Gods Place and writing the Prayer Fasting Guide, posts to the blog will be sporadic until the books are complete.
