Call to Worship
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be alway acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Comments
It was difficult this morning to choose Thanksgiving readings as the Book of Common Prayer provides two selections. Both are excellent. The other selection: Psalm 65, Deuteronomy 8:1-11, 17-20, and 1 Thessalonians 5:12-23 compounded my struggle. The passage from 1 Thessalonians contains one of the most therapeutic passages for disciples living in western culture or the Stony Path Mission. 1 Thessalonians 5.16-18 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
This passage should be like breathing in our prayer life or our moment by moment Thanksgiving. Ingratitude may be the most common sin for Christians in the West.
Normally I also provide the readings from ESV, but the Blue Letter Bible was down this morning, labeled as not secure by Google. The BLB makes my postings possible.
